Polyurea Coatings

Polyurea coatings are a high-tech coating system that is formed as a result of the chemical reaction of isocyanate and amine compounds, has an elastomeric structure and cures very quickly. Since the reaction time is very short, 5-10 seconds, it is applied with two-component high-pressure spray machines operating at a special temperature.

Thanks to these features, polyurea provides high performance on surfaces that require both waterproofing and abrasion and chemical resistance. Since it can be applied to the surface as a whole without creating joints, it creates a seamless and homogeneous coating.

Types of Polyurea

Pure Polyurea:

– Provides maximum resistance to water, chemicals and abrasion.
– Ideal for floor and outdoor applications.

Hybrid Polyurea (Hybrid Polyurea):

– Curing time is longer than pure polyurea (~10–20 seconds).
– Provides cost advantage.
– It is preferred for interior applications and decorative surfaces.

Application Features

Polyurea coatings are professional systems that must be applied with special equipment:

– Dual component hot spray machine (e.g. Graco Reactor series)
– Heated hose and spray gun
– Components A and B should be fed correctly, usually in a 1:1 ratio
